We value both our drive and ability to help build communities through the arts, we look to continually grow our outreach methods and deliver engaging participation work within London communities and within the Bloco Jam community as well.

Spreading joy through musical performance

Joy and fun is our contribution to making the world a little more pleasant to be around. We believe that joyous spaces are transformational, emotionally, socially and communally. We want to create spaces where people leave happier than when they arrived.

Cultural Engagement & Education

It is important to us to educate ourselves and share knowledge around the music we play and share and the cultures that we connect to. We are blessed and proud to be part of such diverse beauty and a sign of respect for us to learn and understand and engage with these cultures as much as we can.

Merging creative expressions – Music & Art

We value being in the great melting pot of London and we aim to create music and performances that feel needed and valid within this space. We draw a lot from the artistry and community building of Brazilian carnival traditions like samba and samba reggae. For us it is because we feel that there is a place for this in London, that we work with these forms and we are always looking at how the music we create impacts our immediate communities.
